Rise Together Shares Survey Results of Student Drug Use in Wisconsin

Rise Together released its findings of a survey of nearly 2,000 middle and high school students around the state.  They found that nearly HALF of respondents had tried drugs or alcohol before age 18, and students as young as 8 years old are using drugs and alcohol.

Alvarado said, “One out of every two students who have decided to use drugs or alcohol before the age of 18 are actually deciding to continue the use.”

Alvarado says those behaviors could lead to addiction & death, which he says is a huge problem across the country and Northeast Wisconsin.
